Yuri originally studied physics in college but after graduating and working in the field, he decided to follow a different path. Yuri started out teaching himself in acrobatics. His passion for movement eventually led him to practice many disciplines including hand balance, acrobatics, martial arts, cheerleading, weightlifting, gymnastics, aerial arts, and dance. Currently, he is working on writing his book, “Finding Balance: The Process of Handstand Development” (name is tentative). In addition, he teaches workshops on balance and movement across the country. One thing he will always be is a student; there is always something to learn from every opportunity or interaction!
Vanya (Ivan) Mokrousov is a talented strap artist and aerialist originally from Russia. He has been performing straps since the age of five and has been travelling the world sharing his knowledge and displaying his skills ever since. He holds three awards from world-renowned Circus Festival of Monte Carlo, as well as a personal award from Princess Stefanie of Monte Carlo. In 2009, he was recruited for his amazing abilities and unique style by Cirque Du Soleil’s KA, where he is currently performing. Whenever he is not busy working or perfecting his craft, you can catch him hanging in the air or playing with his two young children at L’ Oracle.
Kris Rosana is a personal trainer based in Las Vegas. Kris began practicing martial arts at the age of twelve and in more recent years has competed as an MMA fighter and in the discipline of Muay Thai. As a martial artist/fighter, his training is based on strength and conditioning. Kris loves to challenge himself in many areas including running and has completed various 5k events and obstacle races, such as the Spartan Race. He is also striving to complete a half marathon in the near future and will continue competing in MMA fighting and obstacle races. Personal training is his passion and with Kris’ energy and motivation, we are as equally excited as he is to have him on the L’Oracle team.
Magalie is 29 years old and was born in France. She started gymnastics at the age of 8 and joined the French National Team Training Center in Marseille at the age of 11. She represented France in international competitions until the age of 16. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from Marseille in Communications and Economy and a license in Sport Training specializing in Gymnastics and early childhood gym. She then began coaching at a gymnastics club in Marseille before entering into the world of performance as an acrobat and actress with Cirque Du Soleil. She performed as a teeterboard (planche) flier, chinese poles artist, trampolinist, taiko drummer and as an actress in the role of Baby Girl at Treasure Island’s Mystere for 8 years. Magalie also taught at a children’s circus school here in Vegas for 2 years. She has performed aerial straps with her husband and is the mother of two beautiful children.
Tanya was born in Bulgaria where she started training Acrobatic Gymnastics at the age of five. She graduated from the world renowned “T. Kableschkov” sport school where she was 5 times Acrobatic National Champion and 4 times Trampoline National Champion. Her love for sports as well as her talents gave her the opportunity to travel around the world and perform. Upon retiring from competition, Tanya focused her expertise on coaching both acrobatics and trampoline. Tanya is excited to introduce Acrobatics Gymnastics to Las Vegas with the help of L’Oracle.
Lin-Veronica was born and raised in Bergen, Norway. She competed nationally in Artistic Gymnastics, Team Gymnastics and Internationally in German wheel. After high school she moved to Germany to train German wheel, and she also got a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Sports Medicine/Sport Rehabilitation from the Sport University in Cologne. She competed, performed and coached German Wheel as well as attaining all of the coaching certificates for German wheel. She competed in 6 German wheel World Championships, bringing home 9 medals. After College she moved to the US to pursue a career as a circus performer. As well as performing in different shows she also coached German wheel and other circus disciplines at youth circuses all over the country, the two collegiate circuses in the US and other circuses (including Cirque du Soleil and Ecole National in Montreal). She also took classes at FSU in costume design and has her own little company making leotards, circus, dance and ice skating costumes.
Rory, born in New York, started tricking at age seven. He has been competing all over the world for over 22 years, winning multiple national and world titles in Martial Arts. Throughout the years, Rory has perfected his craft and developed a unique style that led him to be recruited by organizations such as the United States Olympic Wushu team and widely renowned productions such as Cirque Du Soleil’s “KA” and “Le Reve”. Aside from training, coaching, and performing he is the organizer of the Red Bull Throwdown Tricking tournament. Rory is eager to share his knowledge with the Las Vegas community through the help of L’Oracle.
Stuart, a multi-talented artist from England, competed for Great Britain in Sports Acrobatic for 10 years and was ranked No. 1 in the world from 2001-2006. Upon retiring from competitive gymnastics, Stuart went on to perform in the “Pirates” show based in Mallorca, Spain and Miami, FL until 2007. Stuart performed in acts such as Banquine, Russian Swing, Rope, Trampoline, and Chinese Pole. In 2008, Stuart joined Cirque du Soleil’s Kooza show, performing around the world for 5 years. While on tour with Kooza, Stuart was one of the Strength and Conditioning coaches for artists dealing with specific injuries and rehabbing back into full fitness as well as teaching specific conditioning classes for various acts. Stuart holds a degree in Sport Management, a diploma in Personal Training and Sports Massage Therapy, Performance Enhancement Specialist through National Academy of Sport Medicine and holds a Senior Coaching Qualification for Gymnastics through the BGA. Stuart is known as Genie around L’Oracle.
Giulia, born in Italy, began her career as a rhythmic Gymnast from the age of 5. After completing her rhythmic gymnastics career, Giulia started studying different dance styles to improve her way of movement. In 2000, she became a main member of an Italian acrobatic dance company, “Kataklo.” In 2007, Cirque du Soleil asked Giulia to join their newest show, “Zed,” based in Tokyo. Giulia performed all the main aerial apparatus, silk, rope, hoop, and straps before becoming solo artist in the Michael Jackson Immortal world tour by Cirque du Soleil. In 2010, Giulia competed at the IPDFA pole world competition in Tokyo and placed 2nd in the category of pole art. We are very excited Giulia is sharing her knowledge with us before joining the new Cirque du Soleil show, Avatar in summer 2015.
Austin Bradley is a veteran of the United States Air Force. During Austin’s senior year of high school, he, along with Isiah Jackson and Jacob Jeanrory, formed a group known as the “Urban Aces,” which dedicates itself to all forms of movement including tricking, parkour, and free running. After high school, Austin joined the U.S. Air Force where he was stationed for three years in Guam. Upon Austin’s completion with the Air Force, he moved back to Vegas where he is now teaching tricking at L’Oracle. Austin has also performed in shows with Vsstmind and Informatica. When not teaching, Austin can be seen training on the gym floor where he jumps almost as high as the ceiling!
David Gray- Head Coach and Creator of Extreme Circus Bootcamp. Originally from Champaign IL, David now lives in Las Vegas, NV. David started gymnastics at the age of 5 and began his circus training in 2001 under Master trainer Lu Yi at the San Francisco Circus Center. He has worked all over the world and now calls Las Vegas his home. He has worked for almost every major cruise ship company in the world as well as Tokyo Disney Sea, Franco Dragon’s Le Rêve, at the Wynn casino, and most recently has been seen running on the Wheel of Death in Americas Got Talent. David has devoted his life to acrobatics and fitness, and now finds passion in sharing what he knows with others.
Erin began her ballet training at age 4. When she was 8 years old she saw her first Broadway show, Gypsy with Tyne Daly, and knew from that moment on that performing would be her path. Her father is a theater director and put her in her first stage show at age 9. From then on she was hooked and continued to dance and act all through college. Upon moving to Los Angeles in 2002 she began acting for television and film and also joined a contemporary dance company. It’s there she got her first taste of the circus and never turned back! She trained under the direction of Aloysia Gavre at Cirque School Los Angeles and did her first professional circus performance in 2009 for Troupe Vertigo at the Ford Theater in LA. Since then Erin has worked for many companies including Zen Arts, Cirque de la Symphonie!, and was the Black Cat in Marvel Universe Live. She is also in the database for Cirque du Soleil. Her specialty is aerial hoop, but she also performs silks, duo silks, and duo straps.
